Amethyst Pearl Heart Ring

A very pretty Victorian heart-shaped ring, circa 1870, set with a vibrant heart-cut amethyst surrounded by a delicate border of natural half pearls. The gemstones are beautifully arranged in a romantic heart-shaped cluster and set in rich 18ct gold. The shoulders of the ring are particularly attractive, with elegant sculpted detailing where the shank meets the heart-shaped setting. The inside of the shank is stamped ‘18’ for 18ct gold and bears the maker’s mark ‘SB’.
