Bent Gabrielsen for Hans Hansen Silver Collar

A great silver collar made by Bent Gabrielsen (1928-2014) for Hans Hansen circa 1960 design no 320. Marked "925 Hans Hansen Denmark" the collar is made up of three hammered ox bow sections joined by silver rings, it is approximately 42cm long and each section is 1cm wide at the widest point and weighs 69.37 grams
Bent Gabrielsen was apprenticed to Ejler Fengel in Copenhagen and qualified in 1949. He then studied at the newly inaugurated Danish college of jewellery and silversmithing and graduated with top honours. Immediately hired by Hans Hansen he worked there until 1969 when he opened his own workshop.
