Georgian Micro Mosaic Ring

A rare survivor - A perfectly preserved gold micro mosaic oval ring from the Georgian era, depicting a butterfly on a blue background. The butterfly has green upper wings and orange lower wings with a striped thorax. The ring has a trifurcated shank and is set in 9ct gold and with a dished back. Circa 1800-1820.
