Gold Snake Ring

A timeless 9ct gold snake ring, the coiled body forming a double band with a raised centre line, the head resting atop set with two eight-cut diamond eyes. The ring is marked "9ct" under the head, confirming the gold standard.
Snake motifs were hugely popular throughout the Victorian era, symbolising eternal love and endless devotion - the snake biting or coiling around itself representing a circle with no beginning or end. Queen Victoria herself was given a snake engagement ring by Prince Albert, which helped cement the design as a romantic favourite of the period.
