Edwardian Synthetic Sapphire and Diamond Ring

An Edwardian oval synthetic sapphire and transitional cut diamond ring set in platinum and 18ct gold. I don't normally purchase synthetic stones but this was just such an attractive ring. Natural large stone sapphire clusters are becoming harder to source. Synthetic sapphires were first developed in 1902, hence the introduction of such stones in the Edwardian Era. This ring has a total of 2.4 carats of diamonds. Circa 1910.
