A finely crafted Stuart crystal heart, featuring a carved rock crystal set above a woven cipher in silver and gold. Stuart crystal jewellery, popular in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, was typically made with rock crystal covering engraved initials, miniature portraits, or woven hair, often as a token of loyalty, love, or remembrance. This piece was made circa 1680-1720.
