A remarkable Victorian amethyst pendant, surrounded by a scatter of rose-cut diamonds. This pendant is set in 18-carat gold and silver. The impressive central amethyst is faceted with a large table and measures 21.44mm x 17.24mm. Suspended from a diamond set bale. The original screw-in brooch fitting is still set on the brooch but the brooch pin is missing, the pendant bale is removable so it can easily be worn as a brooch or a pendant. Circa 1870
