A handsome Georgian mourning ring dated 1794. This ring is inscribed "Ja's Hodge obt 17 Oct 1794 ae 38" under the bezel. Ja's is shortened from James. This ring has a circle of white enamel outside a black enamel ground centred with natural half pearls with a good lustre and a central hair locket. There is a small bit of enamel damage on the white enamel but otherwise in excellent condition. 

Ring Size: O - O1 /2

The head of the ring measures 2cm in diameter.
