Ref. CAX141
A Victorian ruby, sapphire and rose cut diamond harem ring consisting of 4 gem-set bands. This piece is hallmarked for Birmingham 18ct 1890. It is a fabulous and colourful ring with bright and lively stones. The harem ring became popular in the late nineteenth century. They were influenced by the Turkish fashion for multi-banded wedding rings. They caught on quickly in Victorian England when banded rings set with different gemstones joined at the base became popular. This is a lovely example of this fashion.
