Opal Diamond Garnet Ring

A lovely and unusual Victorian opal, diamond and demantoid garnet ring, circa 1870, crafted in 18ct gold. The central opal, weighing approximately 0.45 carats, is surrounded by alternating old-cut diamonds and vivid green demantoid garnets, each with an estimated total weight of 0.35 carats. The diamonds are approximately H/I colour and VS2 clarity. The shank is beautifully engraved to the sides.
