18th Century King James Inspired Ring

An 18th-century replica of the ring worn by King James IV of Scotland, said to have been removed from his finger after his death at the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513. King James IV was the last British monarch to die in battle. The scalloped mount is inscribed to the reverse: "A True Simile of King James IV Ring, Flodden Fields, 9 September 1513."
