A wonderful enamel, opal and natural pearl pendant by Cromer Watt, centred with a luminous opal and framed by flowing gold tendrils. The opalescent ground is richly decorated with peacock-feather enamel, creating a vibrant and iridescent effect. Constructed in four articulated sections, the pendant has exceptional movement and presence. Circa 1890–1900.


Cromer Watt was a London-based firm active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, best known for producing high-quality Art Nouveau jewellery. Their work is celebrated for its inventive use of enamel, fluid naturalistic forms, and gemstones such as opals and pearls. Pieces by Cromer Watt often reflect the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement, combining technical skill with rich symbolism and artistic design, making them highly sought after today.
