Georgian Amethyst Seal

A charming small Georgian 18ct gold seal with an amethyst intaglio of a butterfly with folded wings. It has a ribbed base to carry the intaglio with an urn and scroll shaped finial. Such a pretty piece of jewellery. Circa 1800.
Measurements: 2.2cm high by 1.6cm wide at the widest point.
Weight: 4.29 grams.
