Georgian heart pendant set with a central heart shaped locket depicting two birds flying away from each other signifying "The Farther we fly the Closer we Tie" set in 18ct gold with scrolls of garnets. The centrally set glazed miniature on ivory decorated with swallow birds in flight, the reverse with monogram 'JG'. The whole surmounted by an enamelled ribbon inscribed 'Vertus te decoratus' (Swathed with virtue) highlighted with flat cut garnet set floral decoration. Circa 1780

Measurements: Length 3cm, excluding the pendant loop of 4mm which is hinged.

Condition:

There are small chips to the white enamel and two broken garnets.
