Silver Victorian Albert Chain

An impressive Victorian-era sterling silver curb-link Albert chain, dating to circa 1890, crafted with substantial graduated links and a classic antique patina. Each link is individually hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, while both dog clips and the original T-bar carry the maker’s mark “HB” alongside the Birmingham date letter “x” for 1897. Traditionally worn as a gentleman’s watch chain, this beautifully preserved piece now makes a striking statement necklace.
The chain is 42cm long and the close set curb links 10mm wide. The T bar drop is 2cm long.
