Arts and Crafts Necklace

A gem-set Arts & Crafts interchangeable pendant necklace. The necklace is set in silver and has a cross shaped pendant collet set with vari-cut amethysts, agates and oval moonstone cabochons, to foliate detailing, suspended from a fancy-link chain to a lozenge-shaped panel with wire coil decoration, accompanied by a pendant set with an amethyst and four blue agate cabochons.

Provenance:
By repute, it belonged to the grandmother of the current owner, Anne Fletcher, who was a very successful Opera Singer who starred in Magic Flute at Covent Garden age 18. She then fell in love with and married a vicar and moved to burnside parish, where she was gifted this necklace.
