A deep purple and white enamel heart brooch by Child & Child, circa 1900, presented in its original box. The brooch is set in 18ct gold and stamped to the reverse with the maker’s mark.
Child & Child was an English jewellery firm renowned for its Art Nouveau designs. Founded in 1880 on Seville Street in Knightsbridge, London, the firm initially produced neo-Renaissance jewellery before gaining acclaim for its colourful enamel Art Nouveau and Edwardian pieces. Today, jewellery by Child & Child is highly collectable.
