Ruby Five Stone Ring

A charming Victorian five-stone Thai ruby ring, finely set in 18ct gold and dating to circa 1870. The ring is set with five vibrant rubies totalling approximately 1.35 carats and has a total weight of 3.4 grams. The head of the ring measures approximately 5mm north to south and is beautifully finished with a delicately carved mount. The interior of the shank is inscribed 18ct.
There is a very small chip to the side of one ruby adjacent to the centre stone; otherwise, the ring remains in very good condition for its age.
