Early Victorian Emerald and Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

This is one of the most beautiful early Victorian rings, set with a rectangular cushion-cut emerald in an open-back yellow gold setting. The emerald is surrounded by a halo of old mine cut diamonds set in silver-topped mounts, a typical feature of the period. The shoulders are crafted in yellow gold and taper gently into the setting. Circa 1840.
