Georgian 18ct fine gold foil-backed graduated amethyst rivière. Each stone is oval with a concealed clasp. These necklaces are such a joy, the amethysts are like glittering sweets with the foiling reflecting the light beautifully. Georgian amethyst rivière's are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially in such good condition. Circa 1800-20
Measurements: 40cm long, the central stone measures 17mm x 10mm
