Cats Eye Chrysoberyl Diamond Cluster Ring

A lovely antique cluster ring featuring a bright cat’s eye chrysoberyl weighing approximately 2.70 carats, set in 18ct yellow gold and dating from around 1870 to 1890. The central gemstone displays strong chatoyancy, creating the distinctive 'cat’s eye' effect that is highly sought after. Surrounding the chrysoberyl are old mine cut diamonds with a total weight of approximately 0.75 carats, graded G-H in colour and SI in clarity. The diamonds are claw-set in a traditional cluster style. The band is smooth and gently tapered from the head.
