These exquisite Georgian carved coral day and night earrings are crafted in the shape of strawberries, with delicate strawberry leaves, set in 18-carat gold. Circa 1820-30, they represent the naturalistic designs that were so beloved in the Georgian era, where intricate details and the beauty of nature were often immortalised in jewellery. Accompanying the strawberry design is a night and day top of carved coral, set in gold with a back-to-front fitting. The popularity of coral during the Georgian period saw it featured in various forms, from simple beads to intricate carvings like the strawberry motif seen here.
