Victorian Banded Agate Pendant

A substantial and attractive Victorian pendant dating to around 1870, featuring a large banded agate set in a fine 18ct gold mount. The mount is decorated with a border of raised circular details and features a locket compartment on the reverse, designed to hold a photograph or a lock of hair. The original photograph remains inside, though it can be removed if desired.
The pendant is 5.8cm high including the integral bale x 3.8cm wide.
The agate is approximately 3.6cm x 2.9cm
