Victorian Piqué Earring and Brooch Suite

A charming piqué suite dating to circa 1870, comprising a pair of earrings and a matching brooch. The tortoiseshell is distinctive for being inlaid exclusively with gold - an unusual choice, as piqué work of the period often combines both gold and silver inlay. The earrings are designed with elegant triple graduated hoops. The brooch featuring the same richly inlaid triple hoops suspended beneath a trefoil-ended bar top.
The earrings measure 5.5cm long including the wires x 3cm wide at the widest point.
