Victorian pearl, old mine cut diamond and rose cut diamond comet brooch set in 15ct gold. This brooch can be worn horizontally or vertically, depicting a shooting star or comet flying past a pearl-studded moon. The pearl star is centred with an old-cut diamond and the other stars shooting from it are set with rose-cut diamonds. There is an added loop on the back for a safety chain. Circa 1870

Measurements: 4cm long x 1.8cm wide at the widest point.
