Early 19th-century amethyst old mine cut and rose cut diamond plaque ring set in silver and gold circa 1840. The diamonds are foil backed and the amethyst has an open back, the shoulders are engraved on a cigar-shaped band.

The ring is hallmarked with a clover and a swan mark on the back of the shank which suggests that it was imported into France after 1893.

Current Finger size: Approximately a size T but I can’t measure on a ring stick so this is approximate.

There are rings and then there are rings! This is a wow piece
