Georgian Pink Topaz Brooch

Georgian foil backed pink topaz fine gold 18ct brooch. This piece has been converted from a clasp, most likely in the Victorian era. The bright stones are set amidst pretty scrolls and leaves. Circa 1810-20. Foiled back stones were quintessential to Georgian jewellery and heightened the colour and refraction of the gems especially under candlelight.
