Renaissance Signet Ring

A high carat gold renaissance period signet ring. Featuring the intertwined monogrammed initials RG. In an oval design. This ring was used as a personal seal for documents during the 16th and 17th centuries. This rare piece of history is a wonderful survivor. Similar historical signet rings are housed in major museum collections including the Louvre in Paris and the V&A in London.
