Victorian Diamond Cluster Ring

A magnificent early Victorian diamond cluster ring, circa 1840–1860, crafted in 18ct gold and silver. The ring is centred with an impressive old cushion-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.50 carats, G colour and VS1 clarity, surrounded by a sparkling cluster of old mine-cut diamonds totalling approximately 2.20 carats, G–H colour and VS2–SI1 clarity. The diamonds have a combined weight of approximately 3.70 carats.
The diamonds set in silver with open-backed settings with a bifurcated 18ct gold shank/ A wonderful example of early Victorian craftsmanship, with beautifully matched antique-cut diamonds and exceptional sparkle. Acompanied by a WGI certificate.
