Victorian Diamond Maltese Cross Pendant / Brooch

An exquisite Victorian diamond Maltese cross, finely crafted in the mid–late 19th century. With approximately 12 carats of diamonds in total. This elegant pieces features a classic Maltese cross form. At the centre sits a prominent rose cut diamond, encircled by a halo of smaller stones that radiate outward across the cross. The diamonds are mounted in silver-topped gold. This Maltese cross would have been worn as a brooch or pendant and reflects the Victorian era’s fascination with faith, protection, and ornate craftsmanship.  Circa 1840.
