A lovely example of Victorian sentimental jewellery, this anchor pendant is crafted in 15ct gold and set with natural half pearls. The anchor, a popular motif in the 19th century, symbolised hope, steadfastness, and emotional grounding - qualities often reflected in mourning or romantic jewellery of the era.
The pearls are well-matched with a soft, natural lustre that complements the warm tone of the gold. The piece is stamped 15ct on the reverse. It originally featured a brooch fitting, which has since been removed, allowing it to be worn as a pendant.
